Ive been watching the scenarios and something is improper with the dice mechanism. Over the past 3 days I’e tried to play about 10 games total, I even have won 1 of those 10 games against the AI. Here is my issue after 9 very frustrating games I made a decision to really measure what I had been observing within the last 6 or so games. The AI averaged a 5.1 in its dice rolls and I averaged a 9.2. My suspicion is that it was same or similar in previous games. At one point it achieved 5X3’s in a row followed by a snake eyes in a single turn. I personally wnat to play it rolling my very own dice at this point. The average will likely be about 7 for either side.
What a phenomenal game that is. It’s known for being a simplified tackle the ASL rules but truthfully I’d say it jogs my memory of the classic SL excess of full blown ASL, which is a great thing so far as I’m concerned. I used to play ASL via Vassal and was completely obsessed with it at one point but I’ve since come to the conclusion that games like SL or indeed this Valor & Victory game are a minimum of as much fun and much, far easier to select up and play. Another thing in it’s favour is the benefit with which it will possibly be modded. I’ve installed a stunning SL mod for instance which just adds to the enjoyment for me. Either way, the game-play itself is smooth and comparatively easy to select up. There are also some very nice visual effects that help make the entire thing come alive with clouds floating across the map and little flocks of birds flying past etc.
