Awesome concept. Awful execution. Any other developer handling this probably could’ve done something really interesting with a turn-based John Wick game but this one falls flat on all measures. It’s ugly to take a look at, with John looking like he has never had a “leg-day” in his life, the tiles are isometric so that you continually zigzag across the map making John seem like he had one too many on the home cocktails on the continental before attending to work and the AI is so unforgiving that deviating outside of standing in a spot, shooting enemies who approach, taking their gun, and repeating until everyone seems to be dead is at all times punished.
There are about 7 levels in the sport with 5+ stages per level. Stages are like tiny areas to traverse and completing one is a checkpoint. It can take 5-10 minutes to complete a stage and I spent 6 hours playing the sport before I reached the tip. If the stages were padded out more,I might have been fatigued. I respect games after they have a limited scope and execute it well (enough), so the sport time worked for me. If you would like something with more meat, this isn’t that.
