Diablo 4 marketing has “no affiliation” with wildfires

Image A Diablo 4 A poster promoting an RPG in New York went viral on Twitter, surrounded by wildfires now decimating vast swaths of Canada. In response, Activision Blizzard’s COO and VP of Corporate Affairs, Lulu Cheng Meservey, joked that the corporate’s marketing of Diablo 4 was “unrelated” to the fires.

Pictures of a Diablo 4 billboard against a vibrant orange sky have gone viral on Twitter, with users joking that the “Welcome to Hell” caption is a bit too near the present Canadian reality.

Meservey decided to hitch within the joke by quoting a tweet with one in every of the pictures and writing: “I’d wish to make clear that Blizzard has no affiliations or partnerships with the Canadian wildfires. In fact, we strongly oppose forest fires and condemn them within the strongest terms.”

Smoke from the wildfires has engulfed huge parts of the US east coast, and tens of millions have received warnings about polluted air. In Canada, the situation is worse, with Washington Post claiming that enormous cities resembling Toronto now rank seventh on the Air Quality Health Index – indicating a “high risk” to health.

As a result, officials are recommending the usage of masks outdoors and asking that vents and windows be covered to maintain polluted air from entering the house. They also warn you to not drive through the hearth, but encourage you to arrange to evacuate your house if mandatory.

The fires proceed to spiral uncontrolled, and a few imagine they would be the worst the country has seen in years.
