Summer continues to be officially two weeks away, nevertheless it’s already been an exciting time for celebrity hair makeovers. The hotter months call for a recent hairstyle, and a number of other of our favourite celebrities have opted for shorter or lighter hairstyles. Tinashe falls into the latter group: she recently debuted a recent blonde hair that jogged my memory (and plenty of Instagram commenters) of her look from earlier in her profession.
The recent hair officially debuted on June 1 during a press preview for the upcoming reality show Stars on Mars. The next day, Tinashe shared some selfies her recent hairstyle with fans on Instagram together with the caption “refer to me nice”.
The singer’s hair fell in loose, honey curls that reached right down to her hips. Her roots were the dark shade of brunette that we’re used to seeing her. But about an inch from her head, her hair was getting lighter, starting with a caramel shade and ending with a lighter honey-blonde color on the ends.

When I first saw her post on Instagram, I immediately thought “2 on”, her debut single and the primary song I heard from her. In the music video released in 2014, Tinashe sports the same blonde ombré, and the identical could be said for her other videos from that period.
I’m not alone in my nostalgic reverie: Tinashe’s fans are blasting her comment section with their approval of the flashback style. “omggg that is giving 2014/2018 nashe 😍” said one while one other declared that “BLONDENASHE IS BACK”.
