The Murph Challenge competition was established in 2014 in honor of Lieutenant Michael P. Murphy, a Navy SEAL and Medal of Honor recipient for distinguished acts of valor through the War in Afghanistan. Lieutenant Murphy was killed in motion in 2005, but his legacy lives on through the Murph Challenge, which raised over $2 million for Lieutenant Michael P. Murphy Scholarship Foundation.
