But now, many TikTokers have found a way around that requirement — buying Costco gift cards that could be used to purchase anything inside, even for those who’re not a member.

In a clip that has been viewed greater than 6.6 million times, Amin Shayko’s TikToker shows viewers that flashing a Costco gift card will get you access to the shop.
However, it needs to be noted that when inside you’ll be able to only spend the quantity shown on the gift card for those who should not a member.
“For individuals who wish to do that and also you do not have a membership, just know that the entire thing must be paid with a present card or they’ll refuse to pay,” one user noted.
“Just do not forget that for those who do not have a membership, your card is price 10% less due to fees,” said one other.

“Lol Costco worker here,” said one user who claimed to work for a warehouse chain. “Technically yes, but there isn’t a membership card to return anything. You cannot spend greater than gift card money only at most Costco.”
There are an estimated 830 Costco warehouses worldwide, with roughly 575 within the United States and Puerto Rico.
