HBO Max is just Max now, however the transition hasn’t been smooth for users, and the brand new brand is, quite frankly, a halfwit (to place it mildly). So users took to social media to specific their frustrations.
HBO Max has officially launched its rebranded streaming platform, Max, which incorporates select Discovery+ content along with its library of Warner Bros. movies, DC Universe movies, the Harry Potter series and more. However, the launch wasn’t with out a hiccup or two as users experienced login issues and various technical difficulties. Twitter has quickly change into a hub for complaining and punishing the platform’s sloppy transition (in addition to the final alternative of rebranding to such non-descriptive nomenclature).
Some users refuse to simply accept the change

I still call it “ABC Family.” I call it “HBO Max” ceaselessly.

Do I even have to download an entire other app to go from HBO Max to Max itself? Can’t you only flip the switch? pic.twitter.com/oq6ru99X43

I do know you’re all very dissatisfied but *no* I will likely be ditching the primary half of my name anytime soon 👀

Dictionary.com took a page from Peacock’s tutorial
Yes, HBO Max is removing “HBO” from its name and no, we will not be removing “tionary” from our name.

Max still has to inform people it’s HBO
You can tell MAX was a superb branding move because that they had to maintain HBO within the app name so people would know what the heck it was.
I might humbly suggest that “HBO Max” is cleaner branding than “Max: Stream HBO, TV and Movies” pic.twitter.com/AamLSMXeqN

We will always remember you, HBO Max

While Max is now home to more streaming options, much of Discovery+’s content falls in need of the content HBO has celebrated for a long time. So the mix doesn’t appear to match the brand. Not to say that the name “Max” is totally nonsensical and having to download a latest app is a hassle (appears to be avoidable). Here are the bosses of the nobles making decisions that annoy their foremost demographic.
