Where is Elon? This is what government officials within the Virgin Islands need to know.
On April 28, they attempted to serve Tesla and Twitter CEO Elon Musk a subpoena for documents as a part of a lawsuit involving sex offender accused Jeffrey Epstein and mega-bank JPMorgan Chase. But the billionaire was nowhere to be found.
“The government contacted Mr. Musk’s lawyer via email to ask if he could be authorized to simply accept service on Mr. Musk’s behalf on this matter, but has not received a response confirming or denying his authorization,” officials said in a court filing filed today at . United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
According to CNNthe Virgin Islands government had a lot trouble finding Musk that that they had to rent an investigation firm.
Musk just isn’t charged with any crimes. But the Virgin Islands Attorney General’s office wants him to share “all communications between Musk and JPMorgan regarding Epstein or any role the disgraced financier played in managing Tesla’s CEO funds.” CNN.

Virgin Islands vs. JPMorgan Chase
Musk’s call is the most recent step in a lawsuit filed by the U.S. Virgin Islands government against JPMorgan Chase. The Territory says the bank “turned a blind eye” to evidence that Jeffrey Epstein used JPMorgan to facilitate human trafficking on his private island of Little St. James until his suicide in 2019.
The criticism stated that the investigation “revealed that JPMorgan knowingly, negligently and unlawfully provided and operated the levers by which recruiters and victims were paid and was obligatory to operate and canopy up Epstein’s human trafficking enterprise.”
JPMorgan Chase has denied any wrongdoing and said it should vigorously defend itself against the lawsuit.
What does all this need to do with Elon Musk? According to Reuters, Musk can have introduced Epstein to his contacts at JPMorgan. Now the Virgin Islands want to raised understand the character of their relationship.
At press time, Musk didn’t reply to requests for comment.
