You won’t have the option to activate auto battle once you start playing for the primary time. Diving through the various menus leads nowhere. This is since the mode only becomes available once you advance far enough within the campaign.
To enable auto battle Honkai: StarRailyou have to first complete Simulated Universe: First Closed Beta. This is the Trailblaze mission. As the story progresses, it’s going to naturally lead you to the mission.
The mission Simulated Universe: First Closed Beta becomes available shortly after you finally meet Herta. This meeting takes place right after the primary battle with the massive boss. You will seek advice from her a couple of times after which join her office, where she is going to provide a portal to the Simulated Universe. In this universe, you may turn auto battle on and off even in the course of a battle. Your teammates will burn skills quickly, but it could also greatly improve the pace of combat.
Even after you access the auto battle, you will not have the option to make use of it in every mission. After completing many Trailblaze missions and story missions, you’ll often have to present orders yourself. However, you should use the auto battle in simpler missions where you may fight for resources, which is a welcome convenience.
