What is Firebiner?

The Firebiner is a variation of the commonly used carbine. Carabiners can be found in a big selection of styles and capacities and are a commonly used piece of kit for a lot of outdoor enthusiasts. From a technical rope at a fantastic angle to keeping a canteen in a snug position, there are limitless uses for this straightforward item. But for considered one of the founders of Outdoor Element, Mike Mojica, the carbine just wasn’t versatile enough. Multitools are sometimes used as an everyday EDC item, so he decided to take the carabiners to the subsequent level by cleverly constructing quite a lot of useful tools into the design. There are several Firebiner models and plenty of colours to select from.

For those of you ultra-light hikers or campers who meticulously weigh all the things you carry, the unique Firebiner weighs just an oz and comes with: flathead screwdriver, bottle opener, utility blade, hanging holes, and has a 100-pound load capability.

Firebiner variants

The Fire Escape Multitool Firebiner may be very just like the unique, but with a little bit more beef. This one has a special seat belt cutter, a tungsten carbide window breaker, an oxygen cylinder wrench and might lift a 125-pound load. Each Firebiner style lives as much as its name with built-in EverSpark wheels that forged a directional stream of ferrocer sparks onto the kindling of your selection. An arrow is engraved near the EverSpark wheel to point the direction of rotation of the wheel. This arrow can be used as a targeting tool by pointing the tip towards the kindling you must light. The ability to direct the stream of sparks is very useful when time is of the essence or when the environment is liable to unintentional combustion.
