According to Bungie, the Destiny 2 Guardian Rank goals for Solo and Master raids and dungeon content will likely be applied retroactively from next week. Meaning Destiny 2 Players who progressed towards their Guardian Rank goals at any point prior to now will now see that this counts towards their Guardian Rank in Destiny 2. The fix is sure to please Guardians who’ve worked hard on dungeon content solo or completing Mastery Raids because they will not have to start out from scratch for those activities to count toward their ranks in Bungie’s popular first-person shooter.
“Completing solo and master dungeons/raids just isn’t retroactive to Guardian Rank 11, which just isn’t intended! We fixed this bug in our midseason update, which is currently scheduled for next week. It will likely be retroactive so you will not have to finish the target again,” says a tweet from the Destiny 2 Team, the official Destiny 2 Community Management Twitter account.
The team adds further details in a follow-up tweet to elucidate how players can claim credit for previously accomplished objectives. “Just be sure you get the Solo/Mastery Triumph when the update goes live,” a follow-up tweet reads.
Introduced with Lightfall, Guardian Ranks make the quantity of progress visible to other players, which is meant to point out the Guardian’s dedication and experience in multiplayer. Players must complete a series of increasingly difficult objectives to level up, topping out at level 12 to exhibit mastery of the sport.
The official Bungie Help Twitter account also announced changes to Guardian Rank that the team has already implemented. These goals are actually set as follows:
- Legend rating: 115,000 (was 130,000)
- Nightfall Score: 180,000 (was 200,000)
- Grandmaster Score: 210,000 (was 230,000)
The development team also increased Lake of Shadows’ hit rating multiplier to 1.0x, making it easier to succeed in the rating threshold needed to finish these objectives.
Tweet Bungie regarding the back requests, he didn’t say when precisely the update will happen next week. However, such big changes often occur as a part of the sport’s weekly reset, which takes place on Tuesdays.
