New York real estate agent Marissa DelVecchio thought she had a crazy idea – but for some, it was only a disturbing surprise.
Photos a cozy Rochester home on the market featured the outside and interior as usual in its online listing of homes.
But in a twist, some spaces within the four-bedroom, 2½-bath house depicted DelVecchio as a man-sized Easter bunny with pink ears, protruding teeth, and a sparkling blue vest.
DelVecchio jumped on the sight, peering into the refrigerator, sitting in an armchair, and even lying on the bed – all splitting viewers who couldn’t determine if it was scary or creative.
“We all had a good time with it and got here up with some creative ideas for where I may very well be placed in the home,” a RE/MAX Realty Group real estate agent told the South West News Service.
“We had quite a number of shows on the property which was great – I’m unsure if it’s due to that or not,” she continued. “It’s cool to see how the web has embraced it and is working with it.”
Despite some negative feedback, DelVecchio thought it was an ideal idea, as did the homeowners who desired to vacate the apartment.
“The retailers were behind all of this,” she said. “They laughed at me once I was taking pictures.”
This is not the primary time this ear-resistant real estate agent has picked up a festive theme and ran with it, proudly dressing up in quite a lot of costumes – including a gorilla and a turkey for Thanksgiving – over time.
“If our customers prefer it, we sometimes bring lightness and fun to what is typically a stressful and anxious process for people,” she said.
The list was shared on social media, with Reddit and Facebook users laughing – or horrified – at these cheeky snaps.
“No. It’s a nightmare thing right there!” commented one user.
“No, I would not need to buy a house haunted by a spooky rabbit,” added one lower than thrilled user.
“I do not understand why some photos are cute and a few are scary like a killer bunny,” moaned one other.
“It was quite stressful going through all of the photos and wondering when the bunny could be back,” admitted one among the home hunters doubtfully.
Others thought the Easter themed photo shoot was an excellent idea.
“It’s such a cute idea. Good luck in selling!” one wrote.
“Sweet Jesus, that is amazing,” joked one other.
