What does the Bible say about premarital sex?

Some people have engaged in extramarital sex before they were believers, or someone has a mistake or slip-up. People fall into lust because they’re weak and sinful. Even Christians could be tempted because until they’re with Christ endlessly, they can be subject to the weakness of the flesh.

In each the Old and New Testaments, God has promised that He is faithful and can forgive those that repent and imagine in Him. Through the prophet Isaiah, he declared: “Come, allow us to talk together, saith the Lord: though your sins shall be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like scarlet, they are going to grow to be like wool” (Isaiah 1:18). Scripture also guarantees, “If we confess our sins, God is faithful and simply to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (Ps.1 John 1:9). God can and does forgive those that have extramarital sex in the event that they repent of their sin and switch to Jesus for salvation and forgiveness.

Prayer for many who are waiting for sex until marriage

Holy Father,

Sex and sexuality are a present from the Lord, which is why he devoted a whole book of the Bible to it, which highlights the ups and downs of marriage, with an emphasis on the thrill of physical intimacy. Christians must have sex inside God’s bounds since it is God’s glory and that’s where they are going to find true satisfaction.

“Like a lily amongst brambles, so my love amongst girls … My beloved says to me: “Rise, my beloved, my beautiful, and are available … My beloved is mine, and I’m his “(Song of Songs 2:210, 16).
