There is an annoying bug in Destiny 2 Lightfall that causes players and weapons to vanish within the space FPS game. In addition to the apparent consequences of nearly invisible players running around in PvE and PvP, the glitch also prevents the crosshair from working properly. Thankfully, Bungie says they’ve situated the source of the Destiny 2 glitch and are investigating the problem further.
The glitch causes each players and their weapons to change into invisible, with a slight visual sheen that somewhat resembles a hunter using their class’s invisibility. This can be showing up for other players, which suggests that some Guardians in your game could also be affected. In addition to the visual effects, plainly just being hit by this bug disables the usage of the crosshair, and may cause unexpected effects when firing certain weapons.
The Bungie Support Twitter account claims to have situated the cause. It states, “We’re investigating a difficulty where some player characters and weapons change into invisible after interacting with the praise screen multiple times after an activity ends.” Team recommends that affected players are restarting the sport to resolve the problem while a fix is being investigated.
In fact, this is not the primary time this particular issue has been reported – it’s already been reported in Season of the Splicer, and the video below shows it in motion. However, players are reporting this rather more continuously because the release of Lightfall. This is clearly an enormous problem for PvP players, but it may possibly also cause lots of problems for players attempting to tackle the harder group content.
Hopefully, now that Bungie has officially acknowledged the problem, it should be fixed before the discharge date of the Destiny 2 Lightfall Raid.
