Milanese-inspired eatery Casa Lever renews long-term lease at Lever House

Casa Lever, a part of the thriving Sant Ambroeus Hospitality Group, has prolonged its long-term lease at Lever House, a landmark office tower at 390 Park Ave. The news was cheered by Casa Lever regulars who were dismayed by the closure of the Milanese-inspired eatery in December.

But the closure was only to arrange for a planned reopening in early summer after extensive redesign inside and outside. It is a component of an ongoing $100 million redevelopment of the tower by owners Brookfield Properties and WatermanClark LLC.

As for the sad news restaurant, Ruth’s Chris Steak House shall be closing after an extended period at 148 W. 51st St. April 30, based on the New York State Department of Labor. The so-called WARN warning said the shutdown was as a result of lease expiration.
