Destiny 2’s plot twist suggests that Rasputin, the AI Warmind that many imagine is humanity’s only hope against The Witness and Xivu Arath in the favored first-person shooter, may as a substitute decide to sacrifice himself for what he believes is the greater good of humanity.
Developed by Clovis Bray and programmed to be essentially the most powerful weapon within the fight for humanity, Rasputin originally made decisions based on mathematical calculations and algorithms. However, under the guidance of Ana Bray, he began to learn concepts reminiscent of emotions, empathy and suffering.
The story entries in Destiny 2 season 19 of the Persona series suggest a timeline for his development that illustrates the evolution of his pondering over time.
However, what caught the players’ attention was the knowledge book collected in the sport’s latest story mission. In the book’s knowledge card, it says the next:
Do not Cry.
When I reach for black.
The pain doesn’t stop and duty straightens my back.
I selected this life as a sacrifice.
And there’s nothing to do.
While even shadows go in Darkness
I’m waiting for you within the sun.
I’m ending it now.
as a tourniquet,
I proved it
Trust of humanity, I won.
The season’s terminal dialogue also features an audio clip of Rasputin giving a strong due to Ana. In one particularly harrowing moment, he refers to “the time of our final calculus.”

Rasputin’s intentions remain unclear. However, even when he sacrifices himself, there’s at all times the chance that he will likely be resurrected as a Guardian.
There is yet another knowledge card to unlock within the series. And the ultimate weeks of the season will reportedly provide a special mission leading as much as the Destiny 2 Lightfall release date. Perhaps it will give us more answers as we proceed to take a position in creating the world behind top-of-the-line free PC games available.
