Escape From Tarkov cheaters “rampant” in hardcore FPS’s latest wipe

If you’ve got noticed more scammers than usual in Escape From Tarkov, you are not alone. Battlestate Games’ “hardcore MMO role-playing game” could also be probably the most influential survival games of recent years, inspiring modes reminiscent of Warzone 2 DMZ, an expansion pack for the newest Call of Duty game. However, the community has been flooded with complaints in recent months, with comments calling the present cleanup “the worst yet for blatant cheaters.”

Dying from dodgy opponents in multiplayer games is something we have probably all stumbled upon through the years, and Escape From Tarkov is definitely no exception – although the more enduring investment in equipment and the potential lack of hours value investing in these more hardcore-focused shooters makes that is much more irritating.

On the Reddit page Escape From Tarkov, moderators created a file pinned post for players to speak in regards to the “raging cheating problem” in an try to limit publishing too many separate posts. They are literally on their second such pinned post as the primary one got too big after over per week of discussions and comments.

Among the responses, one player comments: “I’ve only played through five wipes, but that is the worst wipe for blatant cheaters to this point. I do every part to avoid them.” They describe an example of AFK silently hiding within the bushes for a number of minutes only to be immediately killed by the cheater’s aimbot because the hacker later drove down the hill, saying “These people don’t even hide it and it happens persistently a day.”

“What’s occurring with this game,” one other user asks, “Cheating has all the time been a problem on this game, but this cleanup was terrible, what is going on on with the BSG?” Several responses noted that many scammers appear to consider that nothing is completed about them, irrespective of how blatant their actions. “It’s incredibly clear that after cleansing, they decided to not even pretend to care,” says one other commentator.

Streamer Escape From Tarkov Twitch and YouTuber “Axel TV” recently shared a video discussing the importance of cheaters in the present removal of Escape From Tarkov. He notes that the recent BSG ban wave hit not only cheaters, but in addition players who bought items from cheaters, but “something needs to vary to get the cheater count down.”

“I’ve been destroyed non-stop each day for the last week and I just wish to speak up,” says Axel. It also points to a situation where an alleged cheater who was banned after killing distinguished streamer Tarkov posted on a subreddit warning other cheaters to not kill big streamers lest they get into similar trouble. Axel ends by saying that he understands that the developers took a break in the brand new yr, but says, “This shit needs fixing.”

In response to a pinned Reddit thread, one commenter links to the post discuss presentation by Tarkov game director and Battlestate Games studio head Nikita Buyanov in May 2015. The video is in Russian, however the user translates one specific part (about 39 minutes) where Buyanov talks about how players often spend more on features premium when coping with hackers while attempting to counter their discomfort.

Among the translated quotes, Buyanov says: “We are improving [cheating countermeasures] we frequently implement increasingly more complex solutions and we clearly see the correlation with the reduction of premium purchases.” It needs to be emphasized that this speech was made an extended time ago, several years before Tarkov’s first closed beta release, and it’s possible that Buyanov’s views have evolved since then. Nevertheless, sentiment is clearly something that also weighs heavily on players’ minds as troublemakers run rampant in his studio’s game.

The latest Streets of Tarkov map has had a mixed reception recently, with a lot of promise but some teething issues as Battlestate Games says more updates are planned. Check out more of the perfect Battle Royale games for PC when you just cannot get enough of the stress of living alone.
