Ringborn is a top-down role-playing RPG set in a medieval world filled with selections and consequences. In Ringborn, you play as Idas, the son of a lumberjack tasked with saving your father in a world filled with unbridled greed, broken oaths and flawed beauty. Inspired by classic RPGs from old and medieval slasher games, Ringborn combines combat motion with interactive narrative and dialogue to create a very unique experience. Story Fight within the pits of the Ivory Theater for glory and honor. You are usually not a selected one, you are usually not a demigod endowed with supreme power over every little thing.
You are the son of a lumberjack attempting to survive forces beyond your control. There isn’t any beam within the sky, there is no such thing as a end of the world. It’s a medieval story, filled with medieval problems. Travel the world through rugged landscapes of snow, desert, mountains, forests and plains to seek out resources to assist you in your quest. Combat With a deep combat system that rewards skill and strategy, it’s essential to master the art of combat to be victorious. Combine slashes, parries and kicks to defeat your opponents. With over 100 pieces of weapons and armor, you’ll need plenty to pick from.

You get to see quite a lot of the world through the storyline, but straying from that and doing side quests and contracts can find you in unusual circumstances. I can not truthfully say one other game that has really made me need to do every little thing. Every side quest looks like a mini-plot, you do not appear to get any which are boring or repetitive in nature. On one side of the spectrum, you may fight the most important and deadliest creatures Velen and Skellige need to offer, while on the opposite side you will be attempting to find treasure and solving puzzles, balls deep within the Nekker Swamp.
