Bungie has announced that each one standard Destiny 2 armor mods can be unlocked for all players starting January 11. With Destiny 2 Lightfall’s release date just over a month away, Bungie says it desires to “give everyone a likelihood to enjoy all of the mods of their current state” before big changes arrive with the MMORPG’s next big expansion.
The newly unlocked mods don’t include raid mods, but they do include all the things else – and that is an enormous amount of things that will be inconvenient to gather. Most will be purchased from Ada-1’s Tower, which only offers 4 mods at a time – which suggests you may must wait some time before the particular mod you are searching for shows up.
This could spell trouble for Guardians attempting to make good Destiny 2 builds within the end-game and raids – in the event that they’re missing key mods, beating the sport’s pinnacle challenges will be daunting enough to pass.
Bungie also announced that reduces the main target cost of Trials of Osiris, Iron Banner, Crucible, and Gambit to 25 Legendary Shards, and reduces the main target cost of proficient weapons to 50 Legendary Shards.
Finally, the developer revealed that Grandmaster Nightfalls will arrive on January 17, and that the following update will make the Grandmaster’s power cap and structure “more accessible to all players while remaining considered one of our most difficult content.”
More information can be coming to TWAB later this week on January 12.
