“Everyone has their very own liquidation process,” Rockette Soultan Schiavi says. “It’s a part of the job – we love coming to work on daily basis and sharing our suggestions and tricks.”
Since booking a 2019 show, Schiavi has been experimenting with multiple strategies and has developed a night routine that has worked for her throughout the season. She now relies on a four-point recovery process to assist her calm down and replenish her energy at the tip of every night so she will be able to get back on stage at her best to do all of it once again the following day.
1. Ice packs, stretches and massages muscles
Schiavi is captivated with his post-show leisure routine. “It’s essential to maintain the body healthy,” she says. her place? Ice baths in cold whirlpools contained in the athletic training facility at Radio City Music Hall. “At the tip of the day, I wish to do at the least 10 minutes of icing from the waist down,” she says.

So when bedtime finally arrives, he has to work hard to calm his body down. “I watch TV and call family and friends to sum up my day,” she says. “I sleep under a weighted blanket at night. It suppresses my nervous system a bit so I can rest.
These strategies help her sleep seven to eight hours each night. “I would like to prioritize sleep to maintain my brain focused and my body healthy,” she says.
