MISMO president steps down, alternative named

MISMO, the standards body for the true estate finance industry, announced the appointment of Jan Davis (pictured) as acting president.

Davis replaces Seth Appleton, who’s leaving the organization to affix US Mortgage Insurers (USMI) as president in early 2023.

“Seth has been an exemplary MISMO leader, successfully leading the organization in developing recent standards that improve efficiency, reduce costs and speed up the digital transformation of the mortgage industry,” said Bob Broeksmit, president and CEO of the Mortgage Bankers Association. “MISMO’s momentum continues unabated because it actively searches for its next CEO.”
